How to Register

The Spring Predators program is Rep level football with a  focus on competition and excellence. 

If you want to be a part of USports football, then Predators is where you’ll be scouted by USports schools. Over the last 7 years, there are currently over 80 Predators playing for university teams.  Find out more about our Alumni Here.

Overview of the Spring Predators' Program:

REP COMPETITION: Ontario Football Conference
Our Varsity Spring Predators (Bantam, SV, JV) program provides the best opportunity for elite football players to represent Waterloo Region against top calibre players from other associations across Ontario in the Ontario Football Conference, the largest and most competitive league in Ontario.

MINOR DIVISION (Atom, Peewee)
The Predators Spring minor division plays in the OFC Minor and focuses on improving fundamentals and  skill development while providing a more competitive environment.  Players learn the importance of commitment, dedication and team work.

FACILITIES & COACHES

Home Field: University of Waterloo - Warrior Field
• Certified Athletic trainers provided by Guelph Performance Therapy at all practices and games
• Coaches: All Safe Contact certified by Ontario Football & Football Canada
• Many of our coaches as the JV & SV level have university level football playing and/or coaching experience.
• Coach Buses for away games further than 100km
• Mandatory baseline testing for all athletes before practices begin conducted by certified athletic therapists.
• Player swag packages for all athletes provided through team fundraising

Try Outs

Tryouts start first week of April at UW Warrior Field.   Practices through April and into mid May will be on turf at Warrior Field twice a week.  From mid May through the end of the season, practices are scheduled two times per week from 6:30pm - 8:30pm on grass fields and for Bantam level and up an additional one night a week game film review.

Game Schedule

The Predators OFC Varsity season opens May 18, 2019 weekend .

Championship Day is Aug 3, 2019  in Oshawa.

The game schedule will be ready by end of Feb 2019. 

 

Registration Required Before Try Outs Begin

Before trying out for Predators, players are required to register with the Association and pay the full registration fee OR sign up for the split payment option. Players must pay a minimum of $200 towards their 2019 reg fees to be fitted for equipment.   Equipment fittings are held towards the beginning of March. Please be aware of our equipment procedures and policies.

If you require fee assistance for the 2019 season, it's very important you start the application process ASAP.
Please let our registrar Deanna Woodland know that you are applying for assistance so that we can get you registered in our system and give you a registration code for your application.

Refund Policy

Refund eligibility:
• Once registration is submitted; registration fee less $50
• If player is cut; registration fee minus $100
• Equipment distribution to on or before April 30th; registration fee less $150
• April 30th to prior to 1st game; 50% of registration fee
• Once the game season has begun; no refunds for ANY REASON

As applies to cuts due to player evaluation and selection process
