Detroit Lions Gridiron Heroes Herman Moore, wide receiver for 12 seasons and Lomas Brown , Offensive Tackle  for 11 seasons (blocking for Barry Sanders!)  will be at Kaufman Field (Cameron Heights) along with 4 members of the Lions cheer team and Roary the Detroit Mascot  to visit Waterloo Region Football as part of the NFL Play 60 program!
Dr. Jen Welter, the first woman to coach in the NFL, and a fan favourite at last year’s events, will also reprise her role as a guest instructor for our event!

The NFL PLAY 60 program in Kitchener will be running a Rising Star Combine, guaranteed to make our young players feel special! They will be put to the NFL PLAY 60 test with stations that will not only develop their football skills, but teach them valuable lessons like teamwork and sportsmanship, and other ways to have fun while being active.

Who Can Participate?

The Rising Star Combine activities is aimed at players aged 6-11 but all our members, friends and families are welcome to come out and meet the players and join in the day!
There will be lots of giveaways (t-shirts, hats, footballs) and they will be handed out on a first come, first served basis.

We are extremely proud to have been one of only 9 football associations across Canada, selected to partner with NFL Canada and their Play 60 initiative for 2017.
Our commitment to developing football at a grassroots level along with our diverse football program was instrumental in our selection for this incredible opportunity!

This is going to be HUGE!  Please register using the link below!
